A Little Homesick...Okinawa.

I was in Okinawa from June 1996 until August of 1999. The last past few months in Oki I was basically dodging the system. I had orders to go to another unit for a few months, NOPE! My unit wanted me to do PT even though I had already done my final physical, NOPE! Received word from the the brass that I had to do PT anyway, FUCK THAT, I went on terminal leave. Just hung out without having to do shit.

Westboro Baptist Church and the Death of Founder Fred Phelps: I Hope He Likes Warm Weather

We all know these guys, Westboro Baptist Church, hatemongers under the guise of a "church." It tickled me that their webpage is "GodHatesFags," (godhatesfags.com). The name itself lends credibility to the amount of bullshit that I am sure is being cooked up behind their closed doors. I mean, really; God in all of His infinite wisdom and perfection was like, "You know what of all that I created I'll hate fags the most. I created them with love, just like I did everything else, but you know, I'm just gonna hate them above all else."

I hope those shirts are flame-resistant.

Well, on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 these guys lost their founder, 84 year old Fred Phelps to natural causes. I bet he's really kicking himself in the ass about now. The thing is though, that his peoples at the WBC are moving on like the dude never existed. Apparently he said to the church members that they "needed to be nicer to one another." I guess that was the final straw for them cause they kicked his ass to the curb by excommunicating him from the church back in August of 2013
("Excommunicated Former Westboro Baptist Leader Dies In Disgrace," Americans Against the Tea Party, aattp.org). Shit, him and  the dude from Men's Warehouse are like "Dafuq!?"

WBC founder, and newly enlightened to how fucking wrong I was via a special spot in hell, Fred Phelps.
I'm lovin' this cause the people in the pic are showing compassion for WBC's loss with a sign reading: "SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS", yet it appears that WBC doesn't care. It goes to show that what they WBC really want to do is spread hate. I can only assume that they have no idea on how to process any other emotion. What you have to realize though, is that this sign MUST have gotten through to someone(s) in WBC, who then took a look at themselves and gave some thought as to whether or not they truly represent God's view.

Westboro Baptist Hatefest Interrupted by Message of Love and Compassion

Honestly, I think that WBC would ignore the sign, because if they were to respond to it with a, "Thank you," they may begin to see how they are on the wrong side of things. I'm sure that is a thought that scares them; to be so enveloped in something, putting yourself out there, claiming that everyone else is a sinner and is going to hell; only to find out that YOU are the one that's wrong. Pride: One of the 7 Deadly Sins. I know too many people, myself included, that need to check themselves from time to time.

Pardon any mistakes, I'm not a professional writer. I'm just a guy speaking his mind. Thanks for reading.

The Right and the 32 year old Welfare Recepient

In order to understand the Right's way of thinking I have to sometimes take on the sad task of listening to their radio broadcast and reading their "news" sources. The following video is from the webpage Viral Conservative (viralconservative.com). It caught my ear, because this woman is proudly talking about receiving government assistance. On the page's comment section listeners are up in arms over this individual.

Now, what's really going on: It's a staged call where the person calling in has more than likely been paid to do so. The purpose of this is to inflame the listeners, because, and let's face it, the radio station and all those in on it think that the listeners lack the ability to see when they are being duped. The elements of this being bullshit are all there: a woman of working age who appears to be in fine condition, multiple children, an attitude of entitlement, and they asked and she confirmed that she was talking to them on an "Obamaphone." Such absolute bullshit. The radio hosts are in on it, and even help stoke the flames with comments like, "We're the saps," because they "we" are the ones working while she and others are getting free handouts. Stop letting people and propaganda like this make you continue to look like fools. It's like you're saying that you'd prefer 5 dimes over 4 quarters because 5 is more than 4.
